‘Iranian-Saudi Traders High Council to be set up’
TEHRAN- The new ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Tehran announced the formation of the Supreme Council of Iranian and Saudi Traders and Businessmen and said all business and commercial relations between the two countries and joint projects will be carried out under this council.
Abdullah bin Saud al-Anzi made the remarks in a meeting with Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Hossein Selahvarzi at the place of the chamber, the ICCIMA portal published on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the ICCIMA head said that in order to develop trade relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the private sectors of the two countries must come to the fore, and this requires the establishment of contacts and exchanges between the trade delegations of the two countries.
He expressed hope that with the support of the Saudi embassy the private sectors of the two countries will be able to quickly establish good relations with each other.
The Saudi ambassador for his part said, “The private sector is very important to us. Because it plays a fundamental role in strengthening the trade relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia and strengthening relations with the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.”
Emphasizing that Saudi Arabia has a positive view of Iran's products, he continued, “We should all work to strengthen the trade relations between the two countries. In particular, the governments should try to provide the field for the activities of the private sectors of the two countries. Saudi government officials emphasize the essential role of private sector enterprises in improving relations with other countries.”
